How to Stop the Ageing Process

We all want to stay young and beautiful forever, don't we??
But we realize that this can only be our wishful thinking. Let's face it, we stop the process of ageing. Ageing is an inevitable biological process. Scientists across the globe have tried to slow it down or place some control over it, but sadly, they are yet to hit the bull's eye.
Does that mean that we are helpless in this regard and all we can do is sit down and watch ourselves grow old? Well, while we can't mess with the fate, we can certainly age gracefully. We can slow down the ageing process and at the same time remain young at the heart.
Experts say that genetic factors play a crucial role in determining our pace of ageing and its pattern. Dry skin and wrinkles are one of the primary signs of ageing. It has been proved that increasing the intake of certain foods in our diet can have drastic effect on our ageing pattern, irrespective of the kind of genes we have.

Here are some quick tips to help you slow down the ageing process:
Keep yourself hydrated

Water acts as a natural moisturizer to your skin. And if you deny your body of it, it will suck out water from the cell, even the skin cells. As a result, your skin loses its glow. Therefore, it is important to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water every day, to keep your body amply hydrated.

Maintain steady bodyweight

Frequently gaining and losing weight can be disastrous for your skin and may even make you look older than you are. The skin has elastic fibers that support your skin. Frequent gain and loss of weight will make them lose their natural elasticity, making you lose out on your youthfulness. Therefore, you will need to maintain a strict workout regime and a steady body weight.
Avoid sun damage

If you want to keep your skin youthful, it is also your duty to protect it from the harmful and damaging rays of the sun. No, we are not asking you to stay indoors throughout the summer. Just make sure that you cover the exposed areas of the skin while going out or apply a cream that has an SPF of at least 15.

Fun and laughter

Excessive stress can make you look older than your age. Hence, it is important for you to have some fun and laughter in your schedule. It is also advisable to go on a vacation, take time off your work, free yourself of all your worries and anxieties and rejuvenate yourself, at least once a year.
Now, you are all set to tame the ageing process!!
