One of the fastest-growing fields in criminal justice is corrections . Corrections officers manage inmate populations in federal, state, and local prisons and jails. Some specialize in working with juvenile  or violent offenders. Career Training in Corrections 

Associate degrees in corrections traditionally offer introductory courses in law enforcement, rehabilitation of offenders, and prison administration and regulations . Federal institutions often require a bachelor's degree in corrections  or criminal justice. These degree programs offer more intensive instruction in enforcement , criminality, juvenile offenders, and prison management. Master's degrees in corrections  or criminal justice, along with experience and career training, can help candidates make the leap to prison administration, where they may manage corrections officers  as well as prison populations.
